Christmas 2009

I was at Genting for Christmas 2009, where were you? The weather there was cold as usual and that’s the reason why it’s a good place to celebrate Christmas since Christmas should be white and freezing. And the crowd started to grow when it got nearer to midnight.

And I had steamboat for dinner! Although the food was just plain and ordinary but having steamboat during cold weather makes it taste a lot better

Everything was good until the time when I decided to go back but couldn’t find my car T_T. I was looking high and low, uphill and downhill and found it 2 hours later. Now what a memorable Christmas~

Rains and Rainbows

I went to jog yesterday in the park although the weather didn’t look good. Well I was desperately in a need to stretch some muscles at that time because I've been spending most of my waking hours in the office or at home, staring at my laptop. It was a good jog and right after I've finished the final lap, it started pouring like there’s no tomorrow. I was both lucky and unlucky because if it started to rain while I was still running, I will be so soaked as I will always try to finish my 3 laps even under the rain. But in the same time I was stranded there in the park, taking shelter under a small hut while waiting for the rain to stop.

There were sunshine although the rain was so heavy until I could hear the sound of water rushing along the huge drain nearby. I was sitting and staring blankly up to the sky when I saw a spectrum of color right in front of my eyes. I thought it was some illusion caused by my exhaustion but the color didn’t go away even after a few blinks of the eyes. And in a split second, I noticed the whole portrait; it was a rainbow right in front of me.

Now this rainbow wasn’t the same with those that I've encountered before. Rainbow, as what I'd seen before was breathtaking, enormous and far from reach. But this one was just a few steps away from me, initiating from the ground, curving towards the sky. Now who said it’s hard to find the end of the rainbow?

Luck, has a different meaning across the elapse of time. Not getting wet in the rain might sound lucky but getting stranded in the park might mean otherwise. But just when you are ready to conclude that luck isn’t on your side, seeing a rainbow might make you reconsider the situation. It is all about how the portrait is seen

Me And My Weather

I'm like a molecule which state will be affected by temperature. Ok maybe this isn’t a very good analogy but I’m actually trying to relate my mood with the weather. It will be very much affected by the weather and I found out that I'm a lot more sociable during sunny days. Yes I'm often more chatty and approachable during that time and the warmth keeps my energy up. But too much of it will also result in unnecessary heat and shoots my temper up. So outings which involves interactions is better done during this time

As for gloomy and rainy days, I'll prefer more privacy. The cool weather will easily put me in deep thought, “living in my own world” some might say. So this is the best time to do stuff which doesn’t need interactions like surfing or reading.

But for sure the weather isn’t the only thing that affects my mood. How I wish it is and life will be a lot simpler that way 

Dim Sum @ Hong Kong

I'm thinking that instead of splitting my HongKong trip into days, it would be better if I just pick those interesting stuff that I did randomly. And right now while sitting in the office waiting for my stuff to pass, I'm thinking of the dim sums that I had at Fu Sing Shark fin Restaurant at Wan Chai.

Now to me this is the Crème de la Crème of all dim sums:

Yes the Har Kau! Dim sum restaurant which doesn’t sell Har Kau is like Italian restaurant which doesn’t sell pizza:

And this is Siu Mai, the brother of Har Kau:

This is the Siu Loong Pau which is also the most expensive Siu Loong Pau that I ever had:

Cheong Fun:

And also Cha Siu Pau:

Although it’s a little pricey (quite obvious from the name of the restaurant) but I'm satisfied with the food and services provided

HongKong Day 2

Yes I'm back after spending a week at Ipoh to clear my leaves. And I think I need to continue with my Hong Kong Day 2 before I keep on procrastinating and forget about it

Hong Kong day 2 started with a sunny day, in fact I was thankful that the weather was on our side the whole trip. And right after I came down from my hostel, I took this photo of the street which gave me a very HongKong-ish feeling

And we went to Ocean Park instead of Disneyland because everyone told me it’s more worth to visit than the latter and I took the advice since I'm ok with both of them. We spent most of the time taking photos when we first reached that place because all the rides weren’t thrilling enough hehe

And we saw sea lions being fed by the workers there, how interesting is that? :p

But as we went further up, the rides were getting more interesting and I successfully dragged Irene to play her first Space Shot. Both of us had a great time with the roller coaster too.

We left Ocean Park after lunch and successfully reached Causeway Bay after a few bus rides. Spent some time at the beach and also the temple there

And we headed to Central for the egg tart and also the famous roast goose. I like the skyscrapers here which are standing mightily even on difficult slopes.

And this is another HongKong-ish look of the wet market in Central

This is the famous Yung Kee roast goose which had cost me a fortune:

We rushed to Victoria’s Harbor with a full stomach after that to catch this magnificient light display. It’s called The Symphony of Light if I'm not mistaken

That ended our day 2 :D

Postcard From Germany

Before I continue with my Hong Kong Day 2 post, I wish to post this up first. I reached home 2 days ago with this in my room:

Yes it’s a postcard from Germany! It’s from someone whom I refer to as Bestie which in a way means best friend and yes she is indeed, a special friend. Of course it is not Irene and I kind of special but it is a kind of special friendship which I cherish very much :D

Thanks Bestie!

Hong Kong Day 1

Yoohoo yes I'm back from Hong Kong and it was great! In fact I already came back on Friday almost midnight, but couldn’t find time to write about it until now. I'm happy with my Hong Kong trip but Macau was just so-so. Luckily I only spent a night at Macau or it will be wasted.

Both Irene and I rushed to the ferry terminal right after we touched down at Macau so that we can reach the motel as soon as possible. The ferry ride was nauseating, so we didn’t enjoy it much and thank god we didn’t puke on each other. We took a cab when we reached Kowloon to the motel and although our room was really small but it was clean and tidy. I was comfortable staying there and the only thing I wanted to complain about is the tiny toilet. But it’s Hong Kong, so it’s reasonable and acceptable.

Everything went well according to my itinerary and the thing I like most about Hong Kong should be the down to earth street-like kind of feeling. We were staying at Mongkok and the street was really packed with people sprawling to every direction. The only thing that can interrupt or stop the flow should be the traffic light for pedestrian, or the boarding door of the MTR.

We were rushing here and there hoping that we could cover all the places that we wish to visit. But on the first night, we only went to Ladies’ Street and Temple Street since both places were close to our motel.

Wan Ton Mee was our dinner that night and although the noodle tasted normal, the Wan Ton was really good!

We went to Hui Lau San for dessert after that and understood why the place is so famous for its dessert.

After strolling the street a little while more, we went back to rest and called it a day :D

I'm flying to Hong Kong tomorrow *happy*

Hong Kong

5 more days and I will be flying to Hong Kong!

Yes I'm going there for a vacation and it’s not a pre-planned one because it was only decided a few weeks back. I have been longing to go there for some time and since I have to clear my annual leaves this year and Irene’s birthday is approaching, so why not? Both of us really need a short getaway because we have been working our @$$ off until wee hours sometimes when the ‘situation’ needs it.

Ok the arrangements are made, hotels are booked, itinerary is planned and packing seems to be the only frustrating thing left to do. Now where can I get help?

Black and White

I seldom watch series but I've just finished Black and White, a Taiwanese series which in my opinion is the best Taiwanese series that I've ever watched. Ok maybe it is the best since I haven’t watched many but if most of the Taiwanese drama is thiiiiiiis good, then I think I'll watch them all!

What I like most is the plot which is so twisting and keeps on surprising me when more and more is unfold. It is also different from those usually draggy Taiwanese series because this one leaves no room for mushy stuff. Heard that they are doing the movie now and will be out next year and I'm wondering whether it will be as good.

Yes a Xiao Ding Dang which runs on solar and will keep on nodding his head. Cute eh

A Surprise Visit On The Night Of The Mooncake Festival

It has been one week, how time flies. Think I need to spend more time recording all the interesting stuff that happens around me. Talking about interesting stuff, I wish to record this wonderful idea that I had last Saturday which was also the mooncake festival.

I worked until 3:30 am last Friday and nothing interesting on this because that wasn’t the first time. And I woke up around 8am the next morning to continue with my work hoping that I could make it before noon so that I could go back to Melaka with AR. But I couldn’t, so I fetched her to the bus station and continued with my work later after that.

Nothing interesting so far, and after I was done with all the fussy stuff, I came up with this idea to give AR a surprise visit. It was around 6 pm that time, and I planned to reach around 9pm and spend the night of the mooncake festival together. I know she wouldn’t even have the slightest thought that I will show up, and I was so dying to see the surprise look on her face.

So I drove all the way alone to Melaka and reached her place around 10pm I guess. And what a surprise, the car porch was empty and it can only mean one thing, she went out with her whole family. I called her and she said she was on the way to her relative place at Jonker Street. I had a little confidence that I could find Jonker Street since I've been there for a few times and while lying to her that I was still at KL, I drove to Jonker Street and luckily, I found it!

I called her again telling her that I was at Melaka and as expected, she didn’t believe me. In fact her whole family didn’t believe it but I couldn’t blame them because I couldn’t even believe myself either. So with a little hesitation, she walked out to Jonker Street to look for me and tada~ I was there 

Back From Raya Holiday

I'm back from my one week long holiday, and it was like a few blinks! Everything went well as planned, I did actually spent most of my time eating at Melaka with AR and her family. Chicken rice ball, sate celup, mee siam, chendol, jelly mooncake, crabs cooked with cheese, fried fish and… I think that’s all for those worth mentioning.

And after eating so many good food at Melaka, I went back to Ipoh as planned and spent most of my time at home. I think I only went out twice within the five days, once to send my car for service and the second time was to buy mooncake for AR. Oh yah, I also went jogging twice and other than that, I ate and read my whole week away.

Today is my first day at work after the long break and thank goodness everything went well. I was a little paranoid that I'll be flooded with issues but luckily it didn’t turn out that way. Even the new guy who has just joined us doesn’t look that unusual but KM doesn’t seem to have any good impression on him. Maybe it’s still early to tell, will know.

My One Week Long Holiday :D

Yesterday was officially the first day of my one week long holiday! And I'm so freaking happy now because I can finally relax and keep away from my work temporarily. KM took his one week leave last month and he said it was so boring at home doing nothing but I can guarantee it won’t happen to me! Never! Because slacking at home is one of the things that I enjoy doing :D

Ok how am I going to spend my precious one week holiday? Well in a few hours time, I will drive to Melaka with AR and stay there until Tuesday to savor all the food that I can get. I'll come back to KL on Tuesday night and will travel back to Ipoh the next morning to spend quality time with my family. I will probably play computer games, watch movies, indulge myself with food, lying on the floor in the hot afternoon, and READ THE LOST SYMBOL!

Yes I've bought The Lost Symbol and have already finished more than a hundred pages. Will finish it next week and write a review here. Ciao~

Property Hunting at Puchong

I was hunting for property online on Wednesday in the office while waiting for AR to dine together and I bookmarked a few suitable ones to view later. I SMS-ed one of the agent at Puchong yesterday and she phoned me back a few minutes later. I didn’t SMS her with my own phone actually but was using the free iProperty SMS services to do that. I was like wow, this is so efficient and I made an appointment with her today to view the unit

I surveyed the area before meeting the agent earlier and I wasn’t impressed with the place actually. And finally when she gave me the address of the unit, I found out that it wasn’t really my type but I went in to look around with her anyway. Although it was a let down but I will take it as an experience, and I'm sure I'll find my dream house sooner or later :D

I did the same thing to another agent, I SMS-ed her and just like the first one, she phoned me back within minutes! But her units are not suitable for me in the moment, and I started to have the feeling that all property agents are very efficient until I made the third SMS and… the third agent didn’t call me. Haha…

Counting Down to The Lost Symbol

I'm going to finish Stone Cold very soon and The Lost Symbol is next! Yes this 5th book from Dan Brown is coming out this month on the 15th and I'm pretty excited about it! Ok maybe besides the fact that only hardcover is available for around RM100.00. Anyway, I think I'm going to get that one instead of waiting for paperback which I think might be available half a year later. So a hundred bucks for a fiction should be my most expensive purchase so far! Counting down to the 15th…

Summary of my Month

Back Payment module had passed in the beginning of the week actually, just that I was busy enjoying myself these few days before spending time to write this here hehe. The week was good, quite relaxing compared with the one before. Ok here is a post to catch up what I've been doing these few weeks since Back Payment struck me.

Watched District 9 and it sucks big time. The camera was shaky, I hate movies with intentionally shaking camera because it’s giving me nausea and this is also the reason why I didn’t give Cloverfield a chance. The plot was also simple and predictable, come to think about it I couldn’t seem to find anything enjoyable in the whole one and a half hour

Watched UP and it was good, although not as good as other Pixar’s masterpieces. Maybe because I still can't get over the coolness of Wall-E. After watching so many of them, it comes to the conclusion that Pixar always makes good animation and I'm gonna watch whatever they release.

Went back Ipoh with AR so that she can meet my family after so many times meeting hers. It was a pleasant one and I brought her around Ipoh to taste all the food everyone will talk about when they heard the word Ipoh. The experience was good, although I do not really know her take on my family but anyway even if it’s not as pleasant as I can see, it won’t go far from there.

I'm starting to jog again this week because badminton and basketball have to be put on hold since the man in charge Kenny is in Tibet now for a month. Without him helping us to book courts at his condo, there isn’t anywhere better to play those games. So jogging is what I'm doing now to maintain my physical fitness and yes, it clears my mind as well :D

And I'm re-playing Fallout 2 now! It’s really a good old-fashioned game! Gotta go play now…

Stressed up!

Sorry I've neglected my blog for more than a week, the reason is because I'm so stressed up with Back Payment enhancement that I'm doing now. Wait until it passed and I'll write more ok ?

Lost & Found

Was having lunch today when I picked up this call from a friend of mine. He was asking whether if I had my meal at a porridge shop in SS2 and I told him I didn’t while wondering why on earth he was asking that for. And to my surprise, he told me that he was actually looking at my employee tag along with my VPN token there! “OMG, how could this be happening!” was what in my mind at that moment

Yes I had lost my employee tag along with my VPN token which will cost me around 50 US dollar to renew last Friday during lunch time. But I wasn’t eating in that porridge shop, I was at a Korean restaurant beside it. And after realizing that my tag wasn’t with me, I kept looking around the shop and along the road because I suspected that I had somehow dropped it while coming down from the car. I accepted the fact that it was gone after I reported my loss to the HR department and never thought about it again.

And today after my new token is activated in the morning, I got it back during lunch time! But I still do feel happy about it because I think I don't have to pay that 50 US dollar and also, I got back my own tag!

Coincidence? I think not! Thanks YM for being so observant :D

MPH Warehouse Sales

Went to MPH warehouse sales just now without any books in mind as I just wanted to check the place out and the books available. Well I can say most of the interesting items are 30% off the normal price while the not so interesting or negligible items are offered at 70% discount. As a conclusion, MPH warehouse sales are meant for newer books which people are willing to pay more for it while other warehouse sales like the Big Bad Wolf or Times are meant for older books with incredibly good deals. And good deal here means books which are sold at flat prices like RM 5 or RM 8 per book :D. So in the end I bought nothing, will save it for another sales

Someone Broke Into My Car!

I had a bad start today and it all started the moment I pressed the controller of the central locking system of my car this morning. Instead of switching it open, it locked my car! This also means that I didn’t lock it yester-night and left it vulnerable for intrusion the whole night! So I unlocked my car to check how much my carelessness was going to cost me. Well nothing serious actually, he took my leather shoes, all the coins in my coinbox and all audio CDs. Sounds a lot but luckily I didn’t leave important stuff like wallet or cell phone in there, so I'm considered the lucky one among the unluckys. So yes, I'm wearing my sport shoes to work this morning, FML!

Reflection

Saw “Reflection” in S’ blog and an idea struck me to reply in another perspective. This is S’:

I look upon the sky,
The clouds say HI;
I turn the pages,
The story ages;
I glance at my cover,
A ladybug climbs over;
Nothing more, nothing less;
All but just,
Reflections of summer.

And this is mine:

i look down on the ground,
the soil seems wet and brown,
i kick the dirt around,
while strolling my little town,
i sprint forward to embrace the wind,
the clouds say HI, i reply with a grin,
i tap my shoes to make them rhyme,
welcoming my summer, leaving spring behind

My Eventful Weekends

Whoops, it’s been half a month since I last blog. Anyway, here I am again with so much to talk about but yet, have been procrastinating to put them in words. Think I'm too distracted by movies, games and books. Oh yeah and also Twitter!

Ok I wish to write about my eventful schedule last weekends, starting with Friday after work. Luckily it wasn’t one of those unlucky Fridays that I had, which I need to bring my work back home and let them occupy my head throughout the weekends. That kind of feeling was like, not having a weekend after all! Ok back to my packed schedule.

I went to play basketball as usual after work but the difference was, we didn’t go MJ for dinner after that. We went to a coffee shop which is run by one of my colleague’s family to support them a little. They are selling duck as the main course and everything else like rice and noodle as side dishes. After that, we went to his house which is very near to the coffee shop to hang out and drink wine. They bought a dozen bottles of wine and we were like, drinking like there is no tomorrow. Reached home around 3 am

On Saturday morning, I saw an offline message in MSN right after I woke up. It was CK inviting me to Neway and since it had been some time since I met them, I decided to go and sing my heart out. We went bowling after that followed by tong sui at One You

In the evening, I went back to 12th Kolej to play basketball with my UM gang. The feeling was like walking down memory lane because all those old memories that I had during my uni life flashed back out of no where. We ate dinner at 12th too after the game and it made me think of all those great time that I spent with everyone there.

On Sunday morning, I woke up around ten and went to eat dim sum with the UM gang again. Well the reason why I met them so many times throughout the weekends was because WK came all the way down from Ipoh to spend time with us. Ok I think he didn’t purposely do that, it must be something else more important that we weren’t aware of. And after the breakfast, we went to pick SY up before heading to Shah Alam for Go Kart! And this Go Kart is actually very different from the one that I had last time at Genting. The engine certainly is a lot more powerful and it’s even possible for me to drift. But it’s quite expensive, a 10 minutes ride costs each of us RM 35!

We had chendol + rojak as lunch after sending SY home and I reached home around 3 something. It was tiring, but I had lots of fun!

PS: AR is coming back next week! Can't wait! :D

Time Traveler's Wife

I've finished Time Traveler’s Wife! The story is quite linear actually, maybe because it’s a love story and love story is not meant to have twisty complicated plot. I’ll give it a 4/5 rating

And I'm still missing AR :(

Missing AR

AR will depart from KL to UK in 4 more hours and I'm starting to miss her :(

I Tweet!

I know I'm lazy, because it has been weeks since I last updated! And the reason is because, well there are actually a few reasons but anyway let’s not go into that. Just take it as I've been lazying around doing everything but blogging

And the thing is, I'm addicted to Twitter! I've been twittering at work and home and I have no idea why. It’s not like I'm having any followers but it’s kinda fun to tell the world what I'm doing. Ok maybe it sounds a bit weird there but who cares~. And this also explains why I don't blog that much as I've found another way, a much shorter way (less than 140 words) to express myself :p

Drinking Session @ Kenny's Place!

I'm waiting for my hair to dry now before I can go to sleep. Just got back from Kenny’s place and it was a nice gathering. We were drinking while watching movie in his new condo and, with his new 32” LCD TV, on his new leather sofa and basically enjoying his new everything :D. His almost 50k of renovation is really nice and I definitely wish to own something like that in the future.

Each of us had a large bottle of Tiger initially except Kenny and after a while, Joe wanted a second round. Although I was too comfortable there and definitely wish to carry on but it was a little late already and I got things to do tomorrow morning. So I left earlier than everyone while they continue with their drinking session. They took a few photos of everyone and I have a feeling that it will appear in Facebook soon ;)

Transformers 2 rocks!

Went to watch Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen last Saturday and it was so freaking awesome. I think this one is definitely better than the previous one in terms of actions and complications minus all those introductions which has already been done on the first one. Although the story and some of the situations are a little unreasonable sometimes but hey, it’s an action movie afterall. There are news speculating the third Transformers movie to be ready on 2012 here, can't wait :D

My Birthday (Part 1)

Just got back from Ipoh, reached KL around 7pm. This should be the first time for me to drive alone back to Ipoh and it was a relaxing one because NKVE was just nearby my office and the traffic was so smooth until I can do 140 km/h the whole trip. Anyway, I'm supposed to talk about my birthday which was on last Tuesday.

It was a good one, I had an early celebration with AR on Monday at Kiku Zakura @ Midvalley. And the reason is because our working schedule is unpredictable and I guess AR thought I won’t be available for her on Tuesday night as I'm playing badminton every Tuesday with colleague right after work.

Ok here’s Kiku Zakura:

And also the food that we ordered:

And one of the most memorable moments was the wasabi eating moment, which I was dared by AR to finish this in one bite:

And of course I managed to do it!

And we went to watch Night at the Museum 2 after that. It wasn’t that good actually, really below expectation but luckily the tickets were free, given by AR’s friend.

My New Dell

I got things to blog about, just that I'm not in the mood right now. A little bit about my week though, and I think I can pretty much summarize the whole week with one word, Sporty! Yes I played badminton on Tuesday, basketball + badminton on Friday and ping pong on Saturday.

Ok want to post a few photos here because I found out that my blog is very lack of it. I’ve been writing since the beginning and it’s good to have photos to fancy up things a little. And here’s my new lappie which I’d gotten a month ago from my company but didn’t get to show it yet.

It’s a 15.4 widescreen if I'm not mistaken, and the visual experience is definitely better than the old one.

What I like is its keyboard with white lights, and although the keys aren’t that sensitive compared to the old one, but I’ve already got used to it

So this is my new Dell, cool eh?

MelakaTrip (Part 2)

I just got back from badminton and here I am doing Melaka Trip Part 2 after my shower and Pepsi. The feeling of soda drinks flowing down my throat is so heavenly and definitely beats the thirst.

Ok where was I yesterday, oh yah after all the eating and walking. We grouped together at AR house and played a few rounds of cards game before we took turn to shower. Everyone was tired and we hung around the house a little before going out for dinner around 8pm. By that time AR’s sisters and their boy friends were home and we went out for dinner along with them. I felt it wasn’t a good idea at first because the group was too big and everyone didn’t seem to know each other that well at that moment. And so it turned out as what I had expected, everyone didn’t really mix around that much.

After the dinner, we went to Jonker Street again and the journey was a painful one. We were using this road and it was so congested because one of the roads there was blocked for some stupid reason which I had no idea what it was. AR suggested to use another road which she believed could bring us there in time but unfortunately, it felt like being struck by lightning twice. I was thinking of giving up the idea and went home but everyone insisted to go, so I played along.

By the time we reached the place, we hurried to this bar called Geographer and the rest of the gang was already there waiting for us. After a few gulps of beer, one of the waiter came to me with a question which made me go huh?!. He was asking to whom the birthday song needs to be dedicated to, and at that moment, I caught the idea that they were planning this whole thing since the beginning. That explained why they insisted to reach Jonker no matter how congested the traffic was. And soon, one of the waiters was carrying a cake, walking to us and wished us happy birthday. Written on the cake was my name along with KK and SY. What a surprise.

MelakaTrip (Part 1)

I'm back! After missing in action for 2 weeks. A lot had happened in these 2 weeks time and I don’t even know where to start. But the good thing is, everything that happened are more on the good-fun side rather than the bad side

Just got back from Melaka yesterday after the 2 days 1 night trip with the KL-Gang. There were 6 of us in 2 cars traveling from KL on Saturday morning and reached Melaka around noon. We could have reached earlier actually but was delayed by an accident which happened at the highway and made the trip a whole lot more painful for my leg for continuous clutching along the way.

The first thing we did when we reached there was eating the famous chicken rice ball. Jonker Street was crowded at that time and luckily we didn’t have to queue up for long as everyone was quite hungry at that time. We ordered a little bit more than usual but still able to finish everything. We walked along Jonker Street and it was an enjoyable one because the weather was good, thanks to the heavy rain while we were still on the way there.

The next stop was this small shop just a few streets away which supposed to sell good chendol. But unfortunately, the chendol didn’t taste that good that day, and their rojak was even below average.

After all the eating, we walked and took photos along the way until we reached Kota Pahlawan. C is having all our photos and I’ll get a copy of it from AR later. Both C and SY were really good in posing and having both of them along the way really cheer things up. And the final stop of our journey on foot was this café which sells really good layer cake.

After all the eating and walking, we went home and call it, half a day :D.

I'm sick

Im sick ?, yes officially sick and not those i-feel-sick kind of sick. And the thing is, I can’t remember when was the last time I was sick, which is a good thing. And on the same day, I jogged 8km under the rain too ><. Luckily MT stopped me on the final lap, if not I might have continued under the superbly heavy rain which I can experience in the car on the way home

I swallowed the whole 1.5 litre of 100 Plus after that, I even drank a lot of water but surprisingly, I didn’t really visit the toilet that much. Which means that I really lost a lot of water in the 8km run. I didn’t sleep much on that night, my mind kept wandering with a lot of unnecessary pointless things and it’s out of my control. I guess that’s what happening to people who have trouble sleeping. So I woke up and spent the night reading ><

And great, I woke up with a migraine this morning. I was hesitating whether if I should take Panadol, I'm not really a medicine kind of person but at last I took it after lunch and slept for 3 hours. And I guess I'll have problem sleeping tonight, wish me luck!

A Jogger's Tale

Ok the new lappie story which I was supposed to tell last week, isn’t what I want to talk about today :p. Maybe I’ll save it for next time when I get back my camera from AR so that I can take a photo of my handsome lappie

I went to jog on Saturday, and although it isn’t anything special since I jog twice a week in average, but I do have a little to tell about it. It was my first time, doing 3 and a half laps around UM lake. And the reason why I chose to run around the lake rather than going up the usual hill at UM is because I wanted to make sure that I can finish the 10km KL marathon which I will participate later in June.

Thai had already measured the distance around the lake with his car and according to him, one lap is almost equivalent to 2km. So if I wish to finish KL marathon in flying colors, I need to finish 5 laps around UM lake without stopping. But I couldn’t ?. I failed ?. I stopped a few times on the 4th lap but Thai managed to finish all 4 laps without stopping. I think I need to rebuild my motivation and spirit for a breakthrough. We’ll see again this weekend

And that day was different from my usual routine jogging session because there were 7 of us jogging together. Some of them came all the way from KL and it was also the first time I met KT after 3 years. I’ve never really seen him after graduation although he’s now staying at Section 17 and it’s very near to my place. We went Station 1 for dinner after that. And it was also my first time seeing SW after a few conversations with her in Facebook.

Too bad, AR couldn’t join because she was a little sick tat day. Looking forward to another jogging session this weekends, IF everything goes fine~

The Sporty Me!

Whee~ yes I got a new lappie. Ok I already received it last Thursday but believe me, I really didn’t have the time to seriously sit down and blog about it until today. Ok maybe I should tell a little on what I did these few days just to convince myself that I really didn’t have the time.

Went buddy dinner with the gang on that Thursday itself and got home late. It was pretty fun actually, 3 pairs + LF. LF was as funny as usual and I think she should learn to control herself a little sometimes in the way she communicates. Ok maybe she’s already too comfortable with us

And on Friday, I joined the basketball session organized by colleagues at Casa Tropicana and had a good time playing with them. It had been a few years since I last played and luckily I haven’t lost the grip completely. Now I’m a little undecided on whether if I should join the badminton session in UM which is supposed to be on every Friday, or the basketball

As for Saturday and Sunday, I went to Melaka to visit AR and her family. It was mother’s day + her mum’s birthday and I already promised her that I’ll accompany her home on that weekends. Didn’t do much on Saturday cause it was already late when we reached there but on Sunday, we had a great time playing paintball at A Famosa. Maybe will upload a few photos later about it

And I think the least busy day should be yesterday (Monday) and I should have written this yesterday! Ok my bad, maybe I was a little too tired after an hour of laundry and rubbing off the stubborn stains on my car yesterday.

And today, Tuesday! I just got back from badminton session with colleagues. It’s pretty obvious that I’m getting sportier than last time and I truly feel good about it ?. Wait, this post is supposed to discuss my new lappie but seems like it’s a little bit off topic. Maybe I leave it for next time since it’s bed time again now! Ciao~ :p

Ps: The lappie title is changed to suit the sudden change of the content :D

A tiring day

Blogging in office now while waiting for AR. Wish to talk a little about my hectic and exhausting life yesterday. Was working as usual in the day and joined ACS people for their badminton session right after work. Played 2 matches there and went to join S’ badminton session after that. Yes, 2 badminton sessions in a row, call me energetic.

We went down to the café for dinner after badminton as usual but it wasn’t an usual dinner because I had something else in mind. I called LF so that both she and WJ can meet up for friendship or maybe something more than that in the near future. It was a weird and funny meet up with a lot of laughter together

And after all the lame jokes, I need to help my bro to fetch his stuff since he is moving out for the sem break. But it was already 12 am in the morning when I reached his place and for all the loading and unloading, it took us almost 2 hours to finish the job. It was a tired Tuesday

KH is flying soon

Phew, long day at work today. Think I need to spin my brain a lot to get the whole picture faster next time.

I'm chatting with KH now via messenger and I just had lunch with her last Wednesday. She came to KL to do her visa to China actually, and that’s how I got to meet her personally for the first time. Yes I know it sounds a little weird but yes, that was the first time personally because both of us didn’t really chat much during uni days. We were those hi and bye and got closer each day by chatting during office hour online.

So the dinner at Full House was great, we were still as chatty and everything went on well. She’s back to BM now and will only get to meet her a few years later. Hopefully she will still have time to play and joke around with me there during my boring day at work. I think she’s the only one in my msn list whom I can joke around childishly without worrying what others might think about me.

Ok KH, nice trip! ;)

Déjà vu

I got tons to tell but couldn’t find the time to really sit down and blog about it. I think I should take things one in a time and start with the déjà vu incident I had last Wednesday

Ok it happened like this, I was driving to work like usual that morning and I was using this narrow road and there were even cars parked beside the road which made the road even narrower. And at that time, there was a black Saga coming from the opposite direction, so either me or the Saga needs to make way since only one of us can use the narrow road in the same time. I wasn’t in a good position at that moment so I drove aside to make way for the Saga but it turned out that the Saga was actually staying in one of those houses beside that road, so he just park his car in his house. So fine, I drove out and continue my trip to office, end of story, end of the day

I woke up the next morning, Thursday morning to be précised, and just like any other morning, I showered, buttoned up and off to work. And when I made my first turning into that narrow road, it was still packed with cars and guess what, I saw that Saga. It wasn’t obvious at all to me that it’s the same Saga until he parked his car in his house. Now what’s the odd of these 2 scenarios to happen in the exact same way, but in different time frame? I was thinking something like “Oh I saw that before!” and déjà vu came into my mind but wait a minute, I solved my own déjà vu

Maybe all the déjà vu feelings I had were just snippets of memories from the past which weren’t significant until it somehow coincidently happened again. Maybe yes maybe no but my experience with the Saga somehow tells me it’s a yes

Slacking weekends part 2

It has been more than a week since I last updated, omg where has all my passion of writing gone? Anyway I'm back on track now, hopefully

I couldn’t really remember what are the things that I did last week which worth mentioning. The freshest one should be my weekends which were spent alone at home. I basically did some study on Wicket and read some technical stuff which I think I should do more for my own good.

Besides those, it’s movie movie and more movie. I watched The Machinist and The Prestige and both are actually entertaining. I think The Machinist borrow a little tiny bit of idea from The Memento, one of my most favorite movie of all time on the memory loss part. And for The Prestige, the story is very well written by the director Christopher Nolan who has also written Memento and The Dark Knight. I think he is really good for producing classics like this one after another

And for the reading part, I've finished half of Broken Window! The best part so far should be the part where one of the guys who explained the behavior of a hoarder whom they believe is the serial killer in the story. And from his explanation, I found out that I actually do have some characteristics of a hoarder, or maybe starting to move slowly to that direction.

Steamboat at S' place

Just back from S’s place, showered and waiting for my hair to dry. Went there for steamboat along with the team members and the whole night was quite fun. We went Giant to buy all the necessities after work while S went home to prepare the soup. We bought lots of fishballs, beef, chicken and soft drinks.

Her place is just like last time, and the sad thing is, the air con is still broken. Anyway, she prepared 2 flavors of soup, one is the normal chicken soup and another one is tom yam flavored. Although there were 6 of us but we couldn’t finish all the food, we joked about asking S to heat up everything for us and bring them to office tomorrow. I wonder whether she’ll really do that.

After the feast, I fetched them back to the office to get their car and I was a little worried on the way home because my fuel indicator was blinking, telling me that my tank is near empty. But was a little tired to go for fuel, think I'll just do it tomorrow.

Dear was still at Port Klang and she hadn’t eaten anything yet when I called her. Poor girl, I'll wait for her to reach home before I call it a day and jump on my bed.

Slacking weekends

It’s Sunday night again, a time which most people don’t like much because the boring life in office or school needs to start all over again tomorrow. I didn’t do much these 2 days of weekends, just slacked at home, watched movies and did some reading.

It might sound a little wasted spending the weekends at home doing nothing but to me, I kinda enjoy it like this once in a while. In face I've been doing this 2 weeks in a row and I don't mind to do it for the 3rd time next week. The feeling of not having any plan in mind and wake up naturally in the morning to do whatever I feel like doing is so free and relaxing.

Although it’s Monday tomorrow, although I need to spend 5 days, basically 4 days of work like usual, but it doesn’t matter because the rewarding weekends are always ahead to keep me motivated. Although I know it won't be a weekend spent alone anymore on the next, but hey, life isn’t about spending time alone right? Spending time with others plays a huge part, and I'm working hard to make it a meaningful one :D

All about dinners

Had dinner with colleagues just now and the feeling was actually different from having the usual lunch with them. Although we were just doing the usual things, which are eating and chatting but the feeling of doing something without “work” in everyone’s mind is a different experience.

Had a good laugh of each other’s joke and got the chance to know WY better. Sometimes, seeing is not entirely believing because we need to also do the listening part to understand someone and the stories behind them. It is actually interesting to know the stories behind others and the things they’ve gone through rather than just from the windows of the soul

KM called today to diss me for not showing up lately for dinner. I didn’t know he will join actually because it was CK who invited me via MSN. Well although I was busy most of the time when he asked but sometimes, the mood just wasn’t there. And when it comes to subjective things like mood, I learnt that people just won't buy it as a reason. Yes, who wants to hear the “no I'm not in the right mood” answer which sounds too arrogant as a reason and more like an excuse

My Otaku weekends

It’s already Sunday! How time flies, especially weekends. I still remember how I walked 10 floors of stairs when I went to work on Friday because the lift broke down. And 15 minutes after reaching my cubicle and some breakfast, the whole floor went blackout *snap* just like that. So I went home an hour later not to rest but to work, with my poor internet connection that day. Went back to UM after work for badminton session, an enjoyable one though, what an interesting Friday ?

Was at Time Square with AR on Saturday and bought Broken Window. Borders was selling it at RM32.90 and surprisingly, they were having a promotion for Broken Window. They packed it along with The Bone Collector and sell it at the same price! Although I don’t really need The Bone Collector but an extra book in my collection would be nice too

So watching movies, animes, surfing the internet and reading Broken Window can pretty much summarize my otaku weekends. It’s relaxing, and I certainly love it

Half day leave!

I'm only working half day today and the reason is because of the suddenly generous team leader to offer a half day leave for us without condition. Spent it on movies and nap in the afternoon and went to the usual buddy day at KL after that.

It’s already Friday tomorrow; this week is passing really fast. In fact these few weeks are like a few blinks of the eyes, the cheerful Friday mood comes right after the Monday blue. Maybe the reason is due to my workload which is getting lighter and lighter since things are getting more stable now.

Will need to phone up those insurance people to settle my claims, really need to push them since it has been more than a year since it happened. The way they procrastinate makes me feel bad and it also reminds me of not having the same attitude at work.

My anime updates

Just finished watching Gundam 00 season 2 and I think it’s really good. It’s even better than the first one in terms of storyline and actions. Although I was a big puzzled by its own terminology used like Veda, Innovator or Innovado, maybe because I didn’t pay much attention on them when I was watching the previous episodes but it doesn’t affect the fun at all.

5 centimeter per second, a 3 chapters short story has a style of its own. The story is just like those ordinary love story, 2 people loving each other but are separated for some reasons and the story continues on how they cope with the long distance. One of the things that got me hooked until the end was the heavy narration used to explain what goes on in the character’s head. It was beautified by the nature which was surrounding the characters while the story was unfolded.

Bleach on another hand, started with Turn Back The Pendulum, a short story on what happened long time ago when Ichigo wasn’t even born yet. It tells the story on how the Vizards were born by hollowfication and how Aizen turned his back against them. Just when the story reached its climax on episode 212, it stopped! Think I'll just continue with the Manga instead

Give me back my internet!

Reached home early today but disappointedly I couldn’t get online. So typing offline is the only thing that I can do for now until I can get back my connection early in the morning tomorrow at office.

I suspect that it should be the money that I owe TmNet but usually they won't just cut the line for the first 2 months. Maybe I've been taking that for granted although all it needs for me to settle the debts is just a few clicks away

I'm wondering whether if they are still having this RM10 service charge for the reactivation fee or to put it in another way, to penalize us for paying them late. Come to think about it, should they deduct a few bucks off the bill if we are having service interruption in our area which they call it as “Session Hang”.

Being grounded from the world wide web really feels bad. Think I'm already too comfortable and get used to hooking up my laptop and visit sites for updates. It feels alright even though all I will do is just to on my messenger and makes myself available for contact.

Pong

This is a fresh start, and it feels like walking in a foreign country without anyone knowing who I am. The good thing about this is I can write whatever that I feel like writing without anyone judging what I should and shouldn’t. There isn’t any feeling to take care of, or any unnecessary consequences that I might need to face over things that I feel like writing

Maybe there isn’t even anyone reading since blogs grow like mushrooms these days and I'm actually one of those insignificant ones but I don’t really care anymore. The purpose of my personal space here is to express myself and to keep track of things that I treasure or need to be aware of.

When one life ends, another begins…
