Life is like a box of chocolate

I received something wonderful some time ago

It was so nicely wrapped and it was so painful to undo the wrapping

At last, I can’t stand the temptation of it staring at me for so long.

Awwww… thanks dear :D

Bangkok - The Food

I just came back from Bangkok! Yes although it was said that the street will be filled with red shirt people spilling blood everywhere, I chose to visit the place because it’s free! Yes it’s free, thanks to Irene impressive performance in her work which left the company no choice but to reward her with this 3 days 2 nights trip to the land of red shirt people with blood haha. But the truth is, I didn’t really get to bump into any red shirt people at all while I was there, so I guess the news is a little exaggerated.

The free trip includes a stay at Sofitel, one of the exclusive hotels in the middle of the city and I’m glad that it’s located near the BTS line:

We spent most of our time shopping and hunting for food like

Tom Yam Noodle:

Mango salad:

Glass noodle:

Sticky rice:

Mango sticky rice:

Tom Yam Gung:

Pineapple Fried Rice:

And although those food made my stomach uneasy, I still like them very much :D

Bye Buck

This is my last week at Singapore, 3 more days to go before I can board the bus and go back to KL for good! Well it’s not like I hate it here but I feel a lot more comfortable working at KL with the familiar surrounding and people around. Well this sense of belonging will be gone anyway after 23rd of March which is my last day in the company

--/--

Ok the above was written when I was at Singapore but I didn’t post it up (which I have forgotten why) until now. Anyway it’s already 24th of March today, which means that I’ve already left the company. I was both relieved but cheerless in the same time while sorting out what’s mine and what’s not at my cubicle yesterday. It was a hard heavy feeling leaving a team of people whom I’ve spent most of my waking hours with and who I’ve gone through so much together. The old Chinese saying: “there is no feast that last forever” is true and I should accept that fact and move on. Hopefully I wouldn’t be too occupied with my new job and still be able to catch up with them later.

Thanks a lot to the .NET team for the lunch at Paddington and also my own team for the dinner at Chilies. Although the movie that I bought u guys wasn’t that good but hey, it’s the thought that counts right? And also thanks a lot for the little souvenir that you guys gave me (which I’ll upload the photo here later) because that’s really meaningful. The IT field is small and who knows, our path might re-connect again in the future. Alright till then, bye bye colleagues and hello friends :D

Singapore Again

Beep, blogging in Singapore now. Yes I've returned here again to settle some stuff and also to do some knowledge transfer. The reason for the knowledge transfer is because I've decided, and already took action to resign from my current workplace. Well this is not surprising to me as I did see this coming some time ago.

Switching from one place to another isn’t something easy because I need to move out from my current comfort zone and expose myself to the risk of joining a new place which I'm not familiar with. Well there are always pros and cons in every work place and generally in every decision made so whatever the outcome is, I'll take it as an experience.

Things which are harder to let go are friends and connections which I've made here and also the great things which I had and have been doing with them. But as I said, there are always gives and takes and I'll try to maintain the connection and continue to make new ones
