HongKong Day 2

Yes I'm back after spending a week at Ipoh to clear my leaves. And I think I need to continue with my Hong Kong Day 2 before I keep on procrastinating and forget about it

Hong Kong day 2 started with a sunny day, in fact I was thankful that the weather was on our side the whole trip. And right after I came down from my hostel, I took this photo of the street which gave me a very HongKong-ish feeling

And we went to Ocean Park instead of Disneyland because everyone told me it’s more worth to visit than the latter and I took the advice since I'm ok with both of them. We spent most of the time taking photos when we first reached that place because all the rides weren’t thrilling enough hehe

And we saw sea lions being fed by the workers there, how interesting is that? :p

But as we went further up, the rides were getting more interesting and I successfully dragged Irene to play her first Space Shot. Both of us had a great time with the roller coaster too.

We left Ocean Park after lunch and successfully reached Causeway Bay after a few bus rides. Spent some time at the beach and also the temple there

And we headed to Central for the egg tart and also the famous roast goose. I like the skyscrapers here which are standing mightily even on difficult slopes.

And this is another HongKong-ish look of the wet market in Central

This is the famous Yung Kee roast goose which had cost me a fortune:

We rushed to Victoria’s Harbor with a full stomach after that to catch this magnificient light display. It’s called The Symphony of Light if I'm not mistaken

That ended our day 2 :D

Postcard From Germany

Before I continue with my Hong Kong Day 2 post, I wish to post this up first. I reached home 2 days ago with this in my room:

Yes it’s a postcard from Germany! It’s from someone whom I refer to as Bestie which in a way means best friend and yes she is indeed, a special friend. Of course it is not Irene and I kind of special but it is a kind of special friendship which I cherish very much :D

Thanks Bestie!

Hong Kong Day 1

Yoohoo yes I'm back from Hong Kong and it was great! In fact I already came back on Friday almost midnight, but couldn’t find time to write about it until now. I'm happy with my Hong Kong trip but Macau was just so-so. Luckily I only spent a night at Macau or it will be wasted.

Both Irene and I rushed to the ferry terminal right after we touched down at Macau so that we can reach the motel as soon as possible. The ferry ride was nauseating, so we didn’t enjoy it much and thank god we didn’t puke on each other. We took a cab when we reached Kowloon to the motel and although our room was really small but it was clean and tidy. I was comfortable staying there and the only thing I wanted to complain about is the tiny toilet. But it’s Hong Kong, so it’s reasonable and acceptable.

Everything went well according to my itinerary and the thing I like most about Hong Kong should be the down to earth street-like kind of feeling. We were staying at Mongkok and the street was really packed with people sprawling to every direction. The only thing that can interrupt or stop the flow should be the traffic light for pedestrian, or the boarding door of the MTR.

We were rushing here and there hoping that we could cover all the places that we wish to visit. But on the first night, we only went to Ladies’ Street and Temple Street since both places were close to our motel.

Wan Ton Mee was our dinner that night and although the noodle tasted normal, the Wan Ton was really good!

We went to Hui Lau San for dessert after that and understood why the place is so famous for its dessert.

After strolling the street a little while more, we went back to rest and called it a day :D
